A: On August 12, UN Security Council unanimously adopted Resolution 1701 on Lebanon-Israel conflict. China welcomes and supports it.

Lebanon-Israel conflict has continued for one month, leading to large civilian casualties and severe humanitarian disasters and affecting regional peace and security. China has been promoting the Security Council to take actions as soon as possible and urging relevant parties to realize cease-fire and return to the track of political solution.

China hopes relevant parties can implement the Security Council Resolution in real earnest and restore peace and stability of the Middle East. China is ready to continue to make efforts to this end.
